Who we are
Our production and translation team consists of Co-Hosts James J. Jordan, MD, psychiatrist, and Mary P. Hanson, MSW, LISW, Social Work Consultant and host/producer of The Mary Hanson Show. Luis Rojas, psychologist, is the Translation Project Director and CEO of Rojas Spanish Language. Nancy Kaiser is the Project Executive Assistant, and Greg Cassidy is our consulting editor.
James J. Jordan, MD
Dr. Jordan is a psychiatrist and past Medical Director of the Hamm Psychiatric Clinic in Saint Paul, MN, a position he held for 25 years. He was the President of the Minnesota Psychiatric Society in 2010 and is the Psychiatry Representative to the State Advisory Council on Mental Health. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Twin Cities Medical Society Foundation.
He is Co-Producer and Co-Host with Mary Hanson of both Understanding Depression, Hope Through Treatment and Understanding Depression: The Suicide Connection and Producer of Entendiendo la Depresión: La Conexión Suicidio.
Mary Hanson, MSW, LISW
Mary is a consulting social worker and the host of The Mary Hanson Show, the longest running independently produced cable show in the U.S. It has been broadcast since 1980. The award-winning program, also airing on public television since 1996, focuses on health and social issues as well as Minnesota leaders. Her goal has been to bring information to the public on issues and persons deserving more in-depth attention.
She is the Co-Producer and Co-Host, along with Dr. Jordan, of Understanding Depression, Hope Through Treatment and Understanding Depression: The Suicide Connection and Consultant Producer for the Spanish series.
